Been playing for quite a few hours now and no matter how I look at it, this games completely feels like the sequel to Freelancer which was a great game by the way , much more than it feels like a new X game.
Imagine this game without the X universe branding, similarities - The highways are similar to what can be found in Freelancer - Docking at stations to get missions, buy goods, etc.. Now I'm not complaigning, I've been asking for Freelancer 2 for years now and looks like we've finally got it Showing 1 - 11 of 11 comments.

Just sell the Taranis after you've delivered the Food hours in the campaign , buy all that exists, game over. But why should you build an empire to earn money if you can't buy anything from this money.
The only thing you get from more transporters is annoyance since you have to tell every transporter manually - again and again - what he has to buy and sell. And you cant do this remotely. You have to fly from station to station to sell everything manually. You also have to equip it manually before it can fly anywhere. Xani View Profile View Posts.

Well, play X3 instead - check. Shaitan View Profile View Posts. I've got to agree with Abdul. I cannot see how you can possible call this travesty 'Freelancer 2'. The similiarties exist yes, but Freelancer does combat better, trade lanes better, and hell even the character models seem more animated! The only thing X:Abortion does well is pretty graphics in space. All style, no substance. This game actually encouraged me to reinstall Freelancer, and after installing the Swag mod adds hi-res textures and loading it in x, I'm enjoying a game that was released over a decade ago alot more than this travesty.
Shaitan and Abdul I was trying to be nice, but you guys have a point : I'm worried about Kulin's statement No one should ever compare Freelancer to any of the X Games. Freelancer have been the far best Spacegame ever. I'm playing it for 10 years now and with the right MP Mods Freelancer Discovery as the best of them i can tell, that it is the best Spacegame so far. I guess even Star Citizen will not reach the point, where I could call it Freelancer 2. To tell it a bit more precisely: A Spacegame is not only "Freelancer like" because you can steer and fire with your mouse.
The traderoutes in Freelancer are only like the highways because the get you from A to B. I did not mean to offend Freelancer, I love freelancer :p. Nothing will ever equal Freelancer.
